Get medical attention.Information for health personnel No health hazard according to the conducted toxicological tests.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media Water, powder, foam or CO2. Use extinguishing media appropriate for surrounding fire. Water is preferred.Fire and explosion hazards Danger of static unloading and ignition of flammable gas over the solvents (A/1-liquids) when adding of dry powder in processes. Use inert gas under such conditions.Fire or strong heat may develop iodine vapor, nitrous gases (NOX) and carbon monoxide (CO).Fire fighting procedures No particular requirement on fire fighting procedure.Personal protective equipment Do not breathe poisonous and corrosive gases. Use suplied-air respirators and tight coat because the combustion gases contain iodine vapor.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions General protection: Wear full face air - purifying respirators, approved safety glasses and gloves.Environmental precautions Use appropriate containers to avoid environmental pollution. Methods for cleaning Small spill: Sweep, vacuum, or wipe up spill with damp cloth and discard as waste. Clean up with a moist cloth or paper towel. Use plenty of warm water. Wash area with soap and water.Larger spill: Larger amount is collected in a suitable container which is then properly labelled and send for recovery or treatment according to agreement.
