Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The calculated Koc values for soil (calculation based on first-order molecular connectivity index - MCI) ranged from12770 to 1553000 L/kg (log KOC

4.1 to 6.2), while the Kow based estimation method resulted in 36830 to 1147000 L/kg (log Koc 4.6 to 6.1).

Experimental LogKocs for the various isomers of the C6 to C10 phthalate were found to be in the range of 5.6 - 10.4 (soil) and 6.3 - 12.1 (sludge), whereas the log Koc of the C11 phthalate were found to be in the range of 21 and 23, respectively. All obtained Koc values are greater than 5000.

The McCall classification scheme classifies the substances as immobile in soil (Koc>5000).

The Henry's Law constant has been calculated from estimated values for vapour pressure and water solubility. The value of 0.901 Pa-m3/mole indicates that the substance is not volatile from surface water.

Distribution in environmental compartments has been calculated using a Fugacity model according to Mackay, Level III. Soil and water were found to be the major target compartments. Distribution in environmental compartments has been calculated using a Fugacity model according to Mackay, Level III. Distribution in various environmental compartments is estimated as: Air - 0.897 %; Water - 21 %; Soil - 70.9 % and Sediment - 7.16 %.
