JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
In a statement it was concluded that the substance is ‘not highly flammable’ in contact with water. The statement was based on the molecular structure of the substance and based on experience in handling (during the water solubility study). In accordance with UN RTDG/MTC/Appendix 6/Screening procedures/Section 5.3 for substances which in contact with water may react to emit flammable gases, no further data are required.

other: After removal of the ignition source, propagation of combustion was observed. The burning time over a distance of 200 mm was 495 seconds.

The flame of the gas burner did ignite the test substance pile. The test substance burned with a yellow/blue flame and turned into a charred residue.

No propagation of combustion of the test substance along 200 mm length of the pile within 4 minutes was observed. The performance of the burning rate main test is not required.

The flammability by ignition test was performed in accordance with EC A.10. The flammability in contact with water and the pyrophoric properties were based on the molecular structure of the substance and/or on experience, in accordance with EC A.12, EC A.13 and UN.

In the EC A.10 test, the flame of the gas burner did ignite the test substance pile but the burning time over a distance of 200 mm was > 4 minutes.
