In a GLP study according to UN Test N.4, a negative result was obtained using a 10 cm sample cube at 140°C. From this it was concluded that the substance is not self-heating.

The flame of the gas burner did ignite the test substance pile. The test substance burned with a yellow/blue flame and turned into a charred residue.
No propagation of combustion of the test substance along 200 mm length of the pile within 4 minutes was observed. The performance of the burning rate main test is not required.
After the experiment, the consistency of the sample was unchanged, i.e. no reaction and/or decomposition of the test substance was observed.
Description of key information
The substance is not highly flammable by ignition (flame), not highyly flammable in contact with water and has no pyrophoric properties.
Also not a self-heating substance (UN Test N.4).

Additional information
The flammability by ignition test was performed in accordance with EC A.10. The flammability in contact with water and the pyrophoric properties were based on the molecular structure of the substance and/or on experience, in accordance with EC A.12, EC A.13 and UN.
In the EC A.10 test, the flame of the gas burner did ignite the test substance pile but the burning time over a distance of 200 mm was > 4 minutes.
In a GLP study according to UN Test N.4, a negative result was obtained using a 10 cm sample cube at 140°C. From this it was concluded that the substance is not self-heating.
