Additional information

The melting behaviour of the substance 6-methyl-2-oxoperhydropyrimidin-4yl urea (CAS 1129-42-6) was determined by Differential Scanning Calorimetry according to OECD Guideline 102.

The substance shows no melting of crystalline components up to 174 °C. From 174 °C the test item shows most probably thermal decomposition with melting and evaporation of decomposition products.

This effect is not a melting of the main component, what is additionally confirmed with the use of the Kofler heating bench and measurements employing capillary method. The cooling runs show no crystallization.
