Ceramic Articles Directive - Lead and Cadmium Migration Limits

EU. Lead and Cadmium Migration Limits in Ceramic FCMs, Directive 84/500/EEC, 20 October 1984, as amended by Directive 2005/31/EC, 30 April 2005

This list contains migration limits for the substances lead and cadmium used in the manufacture of ceramic articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs pursuant to Directive 84//500/EEC. For a ceramic article to be recognized as satisfying the Directive's requirements, quantities of lead and/or cadmium extracted during the test carried out under the conditions laid down in Annexes I and II of the Directive must not exceed the limits provided.
