Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

After Inhalation: Move victim to fresh air. If victim is not breathing, give artificial respiration. Notify physician.

In case of skin contact: Wash exposed area with soap and water and remove contaminated clothing. Notify physician.

After eye contact: Immediately flush eyes with a large quantity fo water for at least 15 minutes. If worn and easy to do so, remove contact lenses and continue washing.

if swallowed: Notify physician immeadiately. Rinse the mouth; do not induce vomiting or give anything to drink unless directed by medical personnel.

Self-protection of first aider: Use personal protective equipment.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media:

For small fire: dry chemical, CO2 or water spray.

For large fire: Dry chemcial, CO2 or water spray.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: Do not use straight streams of water.

Specific hazards arising from substance: Carbon oxides and nitrogen oxides

Advice for firefighters: Cool containers with water spray. Move containers from fire area if you can do so without risk. Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and appropriate protective clothing (with thermal and chemical protection).

Accidental release measures

For non-emergency personnel and emergency responders: Wear suitable protective equipment to prevent any contamination fo skin/eye and inhalation. Do not touch the spilled material. Keep unauthorized personnel away.

Environmental precautions: Discharge into the environment must be avoided. Prevent entry into sewers and waterways.

Methods and materials for containment/clean up: performing appropriate measures as per handling and storage, enter and keep the spill in suitable and closed containers, then dispose of as hazardous waste.

Handling and storage

Protective measures: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid inhalation of vapour or mist.

Advice on general occupational hygiene: Wash hands and face after use. Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.

Storage conditions: Store in a cool place. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Please see SCC document attached in section 13 for details on engineering controls for intermediate strictly controlled conditions.

- Engineering measure to reduce exposure: The use of local exhaust ventilation is recommended to control airborne levels.

- Respiratory protection: In case of insufficient ventilation wear suitable respiratory equipment.

- Hand protection: wear chemical resistant gloves.

- Eye protection: use goggles giving complete protection to eyes.

- Skin and body protection: wear rubber or plastic boots, chemical resistant apron/complete suit protecting against chemicals.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: Not reactive.

Stability: Stable at the controlled temperature.

Possibility of hazardous reactions: It is considered to be stable under storage and handling conditions in accordance with relevant regulations.

Conditions to avoid: Static discharge.

Incompatible materials: Strong oxidising agents, strong acid or strong alkali may cause the release of toxic or flammable gases.

Hazardous decomposition products: No information available.

Disposal considerations

Waste material must be disposed of in accordance with the Directive 2008/98/EC on waste as well as other national and local regulations. Leave chemicals in original containers. No mixing with other waste. Handle unclean containers like the product itself.
