IF SWALLOWED: Call a POISON CENTER/doctor if you feel unwell. Rinse mouth. Do not induce vomiting unless instructed to do so by medical personnel.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable Extinguishing Media

Product as supplied: Does not support combustion. In case of fire, use water spray, foam, dry powder or CO2 for extinction.

Unsuitable extinguishing Media

Direct water jet may spread the fire.

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

Decomposes in a fire giving off toxic fumes: Hydrogen cyanide and Carbon monoxide.

Advice for fire-fighters

Fire fighters should wear complete protective clothing including self-contained breathing apparatus. Do not breathe fumes. Keep containers cool by spraying with water if exposed to fire. Avoid run off to waterways and sewers.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

Caution - spillages may be slippery. Stop leak if safe to do so. Evacuate if necessary. Remove or make safe all sources of ignition. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid breathing fumes. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Wear protective gloves/eye protection/face protection. Avoid direct contact with the substance. Remove contaminated clothing and wash clothing before reuse. Wash hands thoroughly after handling.

Environmental precautions

Avoid release to the environment. Do not release large quantities into the surface water or into drains. Spillages or uncontrolled discharges into watercourses must be alerted to the Environment Agency or other appropriate regulatory body.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up

Cover spills with inert absorbent material. Transfer to a lidded container for disposal or recovery. Dispose of waste according to applicable legislation. Flush spill area with copious amounts of water.
