Description of key information

At 20°C and 1013 hPa the substance oligomerisation and alkylation reaction products of 2-phenylpropene and phenol (OAPP) (previous name phenol, methylstyrenated) is a colourless viscous liquid with a slightly phenolic odour.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Physical state at 20°C and 1013 hPa:
liquid

Additional information

Reliable tests (Klimisch 1) were conducted on the substance oligomerisation and alkylation reaction products of 2-phenylpropene and phenol (OAPP) (previous name phenol, methylstyrenated), for the physical state, colour and odour (EPA OPPTS 830.603 and 830.6304 and DIN ISO 4630 respectively). These revealed that OAPP is a colourless, viscous liquid with a slightly phenolic odour at 20 °C and 1013 hPa.
