Description of key information

A summary of results for environmental fate and pathways of the test substance is as follows:

Hydrolysis

Experimental results concluded that the test item is hydrolytically stable at pH 4, 7 and 9, with estimated half-lives greater than 1 year at 25°C.

Biodegradation

Experimental results concluded that the substance is readily biodegradable.

Bioaccumulation

QSAR calculations were conducted for the C10- and the C18-fatty acid derivates using EPIWIN v4.10, BCFBAF v3.01. The calculation yielded BCF values for fish of 3 L/kg (C8 derivate) and 71 L/kg (C18 derivate).

Adsorption/desorptionThe soil sorption coefficient Koc of the test substance was calculated based on the approach developed by Franco and Trapp (2008). A soil sorption coefficient of 211.7 was calculated.
Henry's Law ConstantThe Henry's Law Constant of the substance was calculated to be 22.6 Pa.m³/mol at 25°C.
