Causes serious eye damage.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed

Treatment: Therapeutic measures:

Basic aid, decontamination, symptomatic treatment.

Cortisone spray should be inhaled immediately after inhalation of the substance to prevent toxic pulmonary oedema.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Use water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.

Unsuitable extinguishing media: High volume water jet

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

Specific hazards during firefighting: Do not allow run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses.

Hazardous combustion products: No hazardous combustion products are known.

Advice for firefighters

Special protective equipment for firefighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus for firefighting if necessary.

Further information: Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This must not be discharged into drains.

Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

Personal precautions: Use personal protective equipment.

Environmental precautions: Prevent product from entering drains.

Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so.

If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains inform respective authorities

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up

Methods for cleaning up: Neutralize with chalk, alkali solution or ammonia.

Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust).

Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal.

Handling and storage

Advice on safe handling: Do not breathe vapours/dust.

Avoid exposure - obtain special instructions before use.

Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the ap-plication area.

To avoid spills during handling keep bottle on a metal tray.

Dispose of rinse water in accordance with local and national regulations.

Persons susceptible to skin sensitisation problems or asthma, allergies, chronic or recurrent respiratory disease should not be employed in any process in which this mixture is being used. This substance should be handled under strictly controlled conditions as specified in REACH regulation article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements in ac-cordance with risk-based management system should be available at each manufacturing site. During the whole lifecy-cle all necessary measures should be undertaken to minimize emissions and any resulting exposure.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Normal measures for preventive fire protection.

Hygiene measures: When using do not eat or drink. When using do not smoke. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.

Requirements for storage areas and containers: Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Containers which are opened must be carefully re-sealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Electrical installa-tions / working materials must comply with the technological safety standards.

Advice on common storage: Do not store near acids.
