Administrative data

First-aid measures

Eyes: Rinse immediately and properly in a constant stream of water for at least 10 minutes. Provide medical treatment. Ensure medical treatment for each eye, even in case of minor injury. Warning! Eye treatment should be instigated as a priority and should precede all other affection.

Skin: Wash immediately and thoroughly with excess of water, cover the burnt affliction with sterile bandage and instigate prompt medical treatment. A physician should be consulted even in case of minor affection, especially if skin flare persists. Wash clothing before reuse.

Ingestion: Rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Let the person drink about 0.2 L of cold water, do not provoke vomiting. Do not drink either milk or alcohol. Keep the subject conscious. Call a physician.

Inhalation: Remove the person to fresh air, rinse eyes and mouth, use a breathing apparatus if necessary. Call a physician. Keep the subject consious.

Note to Physician: treat symptomatically and supportively.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing Media: Use water spray, dry chemical, carbon dioxide or appropriate foam.

Accidental release measures

General information: Use proper personal protective equipment.

Spills/Leaks: Clean up spills immediately. Cover with sand, dry lime or soda ash and place in closed container for disposal. Provide ventilation.

Handling and storage

Use only in well-ventilated area.  Do not breathe vapour. Do not get in eyes, on skin, on clothing. Avoid prolonged or repeated exposure. Use personal protective equipment. Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety goggles described in European Standard EN166. Wear appropriate protective clothing and protective gloves to prevent skin exposure.

Conditions of storage: Keep tightly closed.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Stability and reactivity

Stable under normal temperatures and pressures.

Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.

Carbon monooxide and carbon dioxide are decomposition products.

Disposal considerations

Dispose as dangerous waste. Combustion is best method for disposal.
