First-aid measures

4.1. Description of first aid measures

 Generality:

Seek medical advice and show this safety data sheet.

 Inhalation:

Remove the subject from contaminated environment. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. Seek medical help

 Skin contact:

In case of contact with skin, wash off immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice in case of persistent pain or redness.

 Eye contact:

In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water (min. 15 min) and seek medical advice if irritations occur.

 Ingestion:

If the subject is completely conscious, rinse mouth and administer fresh water.

4.2. Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed

 Important symptoms:

No data available

4.3. Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed

 Treatment:

Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

5.1. Extinguishing media

 Suitable extinguishing media:

Water, dry powder, carbon dioxide, foam.

 Non-suitable extinguishing media:

Avoid water spray jet (dispersion risk)

5.2. Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

 Special hazards from the substance itself, its combustion products or from its vapors:

In case of fires, hazardous combustion gases are formed (carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides)

5.3. Advice for firefighters

 Special protective equipment for firefighting:

Use self-contained breathing apparatus.

Use protective clothing for chemicals

Accidental release measures

6.1. Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

 Precautions for non-emergency personnel:

Evacuate every person not necessary to the intervention. Avoid dust formation.

 Precautions for emergency responders:

Wear protective clothing: disposable suit, gloves, goggles.

6.2. Environmental precautions

 Environmental precautions:

Do not allow to enter drains or waterways

6.3. Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up

 Containment techniques:

Do not allow to enter drains or waterways.

 Clean-up method:

Take up mechanically. Avoid raising dust.

Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly, observing environmental regulations. When picked up, treat material as prescribed under heading “Disposal”.

 Other information:

None

6.4. Reference to other sections

Information regarding handling : see SECTION 7

Information regarding personal protection : see SECTION 8

Information regarding disposal consideration : see SECTION 13

Handling and storage

7.1. Precautions for safe handling

 Advice on safe handling:

Avoid the formation of vapors.

Provide exhaust ventilation if vapors are formed.

Render equipment and apparatus inert (nitrogen, inert gases) and earth before putting into operation.

 Advice on general occupational hygiene:

Do not eat, drink or smoke during work time. Keep away from foodstuffs and beverages. After work time and during work intervals the affected skin areas must be thoroughly cleaned.

7.2. Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

 Risks management for storage:

Keep away from heat, sparkles and flame.

 Requirements for storage:

Keep at ambient temperature.

Keep container tightly closed and dry. Protect from light. Keep only in the original container.

Exposure controls / personal protection

8.1. Control parameters

 National occupational exposure limit (in accordance with Directive 98/24/EC):

None

 National occupational exposure limit (in accordance with Directive 2004/37/CE):

None

 Other national occupational exposure limit:

No data available

 National biological limit values (in accordance with Directive 98/24/EC):

None

 Any other national biological limit values:

No data available

8.2. Exposure controls

 Appropriate engineering controls:

Do not inhale vapors. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. A workplace risk assessment must be carried out in order to determine the correct engineering control measures and personal protective equipment.

 Eye/face protection:

Safety glasses with side protection shield with the specifications of EN166 (EU) directive or NIOSH directive (US).

 Skin protection:

Neoprene rubber, rubber gloves.

The protective gloves to be used must comply with the specifications of EC directive 89/686/EEC and the resultant standard EN374. This recommendation applies only to the product stated in this safety data sheet and supplied by us as well as to the purpose specified by us. When dissolving in or mixing with other substances and under conditions deviating from those stated in EN374 please contact the supplier of CE-approved gloves.

 Body protection:

Disposable suit. Protective clothing should be selected specifically for the working place, depending on concentration and quantity of the hazardous substance handled. The resistance of the protective clothing to chemicals should be ascertained with the respective supplier.

 Respiratory protection:

If exposure limits are exceeded or irritation is experiences, NIOSH/EU approved respiratory protection should be worn. Recommended: ABEK (EN 14387). Positive-pressure supplied air respirators may be required for high airborne contaminant concentrations.

 Thermal hazards:

None

 Environmental exposure controls:

Do not through in the environment
