8.2. Exposure controls
Appropriate engineering controls:
Do not inhale vapors. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. A workplace risk assessment must be carried out in order to determine the correct engineering control measures and personal protective equipment.
Eye/face protection:
Safety glasses with side protection shield with the specifications of EN166 (EU) directive or NIOSH directive (US).
Skin protection:
Neoprene rubber, rubber gloves.
The protective gloves to be used must comply with the specifications of EC directive 89/686/EEC and the resultant standard EN374. This recommendation applies only to the product stated in this safety data sheet and supplied by us as well as to the purpose specified by us. When dissolving in or mixing with other substances and under conditions deviating from those stated in EN374 please contact the supplier of CE-approved gloves.
Body protection:
Disposable suit. Protective clothing should be selected specifically for the working place, depending on concentration and quantity of the hazardous substance handled. The resistance of the protective clothing to chemicals should be ascertained with the respective supplier.
Respiratory protection:
If exposure limits are exceeded or irritation is experiences, NIOSH/EU approved respiratory protection should be worn. Recommended: ABEK (EN 14387). Positive-pressure supplied air respirators may be required for high airborne contaminant concentrations.
