Description of key information

The melting point is in the range of 20 to 90 °C. Therefore the substance must be considered as a liquid concerning the flammability. Therefore the flammability of liquids was classified on basis of the flashpoint of 230 °C (Chapter 4.11).
In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, the study on flammability in contact with water does not need to be conducted as the substance contains no metals or metalloids and there-fore will not release flammable gases in contact with water.
In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, a study does not need to be conducted as it is scientifically unjustified. Based on experience during handling and use, no pyrophoric properties were observed and the structure does not give a reference to pyrophoric properties.

non flammable

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance is not readily combustible, has no pyrophoric property, and shows no flammability in contact with water; and hence no classification according to both Directive 67/548/EEC and GHS (Regulation EC 1272/2008).
