Additional information

ADONA toxicity was studied in the algal species, Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata . ADONA is water soluble and analysis of the highest concentration in both studies showed that measured concentrations were stable and in agreement with nominal concentrations during the 96-hour test period, therefore the effect parameters referenced the nominal concentrations that had been corrected for the purity of the active ingredient. The first study's highest concentration was 100 mg/L active ingredient and had a 96-hour EC50 result of > 100 mg/L (active ingredient) and 96-hour NOEC of 100 mg/L (active ingredient). The second study's highest concentration was 1000 mg/L active ingredient and had a 72-hour EC50 result of > 1000 mg/L (active ingredient) and 72-hour EC10 >1000 mg/L (active ingredient).

Both studies were performed in accordance with internationally-accepted test guidelines and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards. Therefore, the studies are reliable without restrictions and the results suitable for purposes of Risk Assessment, Classification & Labeling, and PBT Analysis. The guideline for both studies was based on the OECD 201 test method and met the test methods described in the EEC directive 92/96, Part C.3 (1992) and ISO International Standard 8692 (2004). Thus, ADONA is classified as not acutely toxic to algae in accordance with the classification system of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) and Not Classified - conclusive but not sufficient for classification in accordance with the EU classification, labelling and packaging system (CLP).
