First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If

irritation develops seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. If

irritation develops seek medical attention.

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, foam, dry powder or water mist may be used.

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (see 2.3.1).

Contain and absorb spill using sand or another inert

material. Transfer to labelled containers and dispose in

accordance with national/local regulations. Wash spill site

with water. Avoid discharge to watercourses.

Handling and storage

Handling: Observe the usual precautions for handling organic

chemicals. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid inhalation and

contact with skin and eyes. Protective clothing, eye/face

protection and gloves (preferably natural rubber) should be

worn.

Storage: Store in sealed containers away from heat sources and

protected from extremes of temperatures.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Tightly closed lacquered drums (standard size 180 kg,

sometimes 100 kg, 50 kg, 25 kg, 10 kg or 5 kg).
