Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Symtomatic treatment.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with water. If irritation develops, seek
meical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water. If irritation develops, seek
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, dry powder or carbon dioxide may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon,
nitrogen and sulfur and hydrogen chloride gas.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full protectve clothing and a self-contained breathing
apparatus should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing, see 2.3.1. Sweep up spill
and transfer to suitable containers for disposal by
incineration or using an alternative method at an authorised
facility. Do not allow the substance to enter water courses.

Handling and storage

Handling: Observe the usual precautions for handling organic
chemicals. Protective clothing, safety glasses and gloves
for prolonged or repeated skin contact should be worn.
Ensure adequate ventilation and reduce dust formation. Dust
respirators may be required.

Storage: Store in sealed containers in a cool, dry place away from
strong oxidising agents.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The substance will be packaged in sealed, polyethylene-lined
fibre containers.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: Elevated temperatures may cause decomposition.

Chemical reaction with water: None reported.

Dust explosion: May form an explosive dust-air mixture during vessel
addition operations.

Dust explosion determined by test: N

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for recycling is not feasible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Should not be used.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incinerate at a suitable facility at temperatures above 1000
deg C with waste gas treatment to remove oxides of nitrogen
and sulfur and hydrogen chloride. (A661)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance must not be disposed of to waste water
treatment plants or surface waters. If the substance were to
enter a waste water treatment plant, removal would be
predominantly adsorption to biomass.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery is not possible.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: Photographic film and waste may be disposed of as domestic
waste.
