First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove from exposure. If breathing is difficult give oxygen

and seek medical attention immediately.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash immediately with water for at least 15 minutes and seek

medical attention.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected areas with soap and water removing

contaminated clothing.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Drink plenty of water and seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Use dry chemical or carbon dioxide

Product arising from burning: Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Fire-fighters should wear full-face self-contained breathing

appartus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: In case of accidental spillage, evacuate personnel from the

immediate vicinity. Prevent spillage from spreading by using

sand (for banking) and absorb the liquid substance using a

suitable material. Transfer to a suitably labelled, sealable

container. Do not allow liquid to enter open waters or

ground water. Provide for precaution equipment described in

2.3.1.

Handling and storage

Handling: When handling the substance, wear goggles or face shield

(BS-2092) and gloves (BS-1651) for handling small quantities

and wear a gas-tight cover all with self-contained breathing

apparatus, or an air-supplied complete cover garment when

handling larger quantities.

If possible use splash-proof filling/refilling and dosing

systems and local exhaustion.

Storage: Store in a clearly labelled, sealed polyethylene-lined iron

drum in a cool, dark and dry area. Keep away from scoures of

ignition and protect from light and heat.

Avoid spilt product outside of the containers.
