First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Seek medical attention.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes. Seek

medical attention immediately.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with plenty of soap and water and seek medical

attention immediately.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, carbon dioxide or dry powder may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and

nitrogen together with hydrogen chloride and hydrogen

fluoride gas and soot.

Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: For small spillages safety goggles, a dust mask and rubber

gloves should be worn. For larger spillages an air hood,

rubber gloves and protective clothing should be worn. Sweep

up spill and transfer to suitable labelled containers and

dispose of by incineration in accordance with local

regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with skin and

eyes. Wear protective clothing, rubber gloves, safety

goggles (BS2092/2) and anti static footwear (conforming to

BS 5451 or DIN Standard 4843). A respirator conforming to

CEN standards prEN 140 and prEN 141 or BS2091 as a

protection P3) should be worn.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated area away from sources

of ignition.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Material is packaged into anti static polythene drum liners

within a 60 litre blue HDPE drop handle drum with a black

lid and galvanised steel band to hold lid on.  It is UN

group 1.
