First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove affected person from area. Ensure supply of fresh
air. In case of indisposition seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Separate eyelids and rinse for 15 minutes with plenty of
water. If irritation occurs, seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothes. Wash off immediately with soap
and water. If irritation occurs, seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: If the person is conscious, rinse mouth with water.
Seek medical advice immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, dry powder, foam, carbon dioxide.
Product arising from burning: Carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides.

Protective equipment: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective
clothing.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Do not allow substance to enter drains or waterways. Wear
protective clothing (safety googles, gloves). Remove the
spillage with absorbent material (e.g. sand, kieselguhr,
universal binder). Dispose absorbed material in accordance
to regulations.
Handling and storage
Handling: The usual precautions while handling chemicals should be
observed. Wear appropriate googles.
Splashproof filling apparatus should be used when handling
the aqueous preparation.
Storage: The preparation should be stored in tightly closed
containers in a dry, cool and well ventilated place.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: The preparation is supplied in 60L and 1000L containers.

should be secured against falling and labelled in accordance
to pertinent regulations.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Normal applications result in high degree of fixation of the
dye preparation by irreversible binding to the fibres
(99.42 %). Therefore, recovery and recycling of the
substance is not possible.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not suitable for deposit in landfill site.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Code 661:
Incinerate with flue gas scrubbing.

Removal by controlled discharge to wastewater treatment
plant.
It is estimated that minimal amounts are discharged into the
internal industrial effluents as highly diluted solution.
Purification in the wastewater treatment plant is
recommended. The preparation should be used in a well
equipped dye house. If necessary, the waste water should be
purified prior to the wastewater treatment by membrane
filtration, or by floculation with appropriate agents, or
by treatment with ozone.
The most efective method is the membrane filtration: more
than 99 % of the preparation can be removed.
