Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The study is performed in order to estimate the adsorption coefficient on soil and sewage sludge of the test item using HPLC method, according to the OECD guideline 121.

The measurements are performed on moderately polar analytical columns packed with a cyanopropyl solid phase containing lipophilic and polar moieties. The peaks of the test item are retained in proportion to their adsorption coefficient Koc. The retention times of the peaks of the test item are compared with retention times of reference substances with known adsorption coefficients Koc.

The test item peak showed a retention time of 24.8 minutes with a very low standard deviation of 0.012 %. The determination was precise. The calculation of the logKoc of the test item peak is not possible, because the peak eluted in the not isocratic part of the HPLC program. Extrapolation is not possible therefore. Because the retention time of the test item peak is higher than the retention time of DDT (13.2 minutes) the logKoc of the test item is stated as > 5.63 (logKoc of DDT).
