Key result
Flash point:
90.3 °C
Remarks on result:
other: Atmospheric pressure not reported; SD = +/- 1 degrees Celsius

The result is the average of 3 measurements (90.0, 90.0 and 91.0 degrees Celsius).

Interpretation of results:
Category 4 (combustible liquids) based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
The flash point of cinnamon leaf oil is 90.3 degrees Celsius.
Executive summary:

The flash point of cinnamon leaf oil was determined according to the ASTM D6450 guideline. The flash point of cinnamon leaf oil was found to be 90.3 +/- 1 degrees Celsius.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the pyrophoricity and flammability in contact with water studies (required in section 7.10) do not need to be conducted as the known constituents of cinnamon leaf oil
contain no chemical groups associated with the aforementioned properties, are stable in contact with water and from experience in handling and safe use (Chapter R.7.a of the ECHA endpoint specific guidance) has shown that the known constituents of cinnamon leaf oil do not possess the aforementioned properties. As the flash point is the key measure of flammability for liquids (such as cinnamon leaf oil), this endpoint will be considered separately in chapter 4.11.
