There are no reliable sensitisation data for [2-(perfluorohexyl)ethyl]trichlorosilane (CAS 78560-45-9, EC 278-947-6). However, in accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the in vivo skin sensitisation study (required in Section 8.3) does not need to be conducted as the available information indicates that the substance meets the criteria for classification as corrosive to skin 'Skin Corr. 1A', with hazard statement H314 'Causes severe skin burns and eye damage' according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
