Additional information

According to appropriate laboratory testing, 2,5-Furandione, dihydro-, mono-C15-20-alkenyl derivs. hydrolyses rapidly as soon as it comes to contact with water, and the hydrolysis product is readily biodegradable (based on QSAR with theoretical hydrolysis product). A study with one of the components also indicates that 60% degradation of the hydrolysis products can be expected in a 28-day period. Since these properties indicate rapid degradation of the substance in the environment, further studies on degradation, transport and distribution and adsorption/desorption are not feasible and would not give relevant results.
