Reference
Endpoint:
boiling point
Type of information:
calculation (if not (Q)SAR)
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
31 March 2010 – 4 May 2010
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 103 (Boiling Point)
Deviations:
no
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The vapour pressure (Pvp) and boiling temperature (Tb) of the test substance are correlated as described by the Modified Watson Correlation. The boiling temperature was determined iteratively, using the vapour pressure determined in Section 4.6 of IUCLID 6.
GLP compliance:
yes
Type of method:
other: Modified Watson Correlation method
Boiling pt.:
443 °C
Atm. press.:
101 325 Pa
Conclusions:
The Modified Watson Correlation method was chosen for the determination of the boiling temperature. The boiling temperature of the test substance was determined to be 443 °C.

Description of key information

The boiling temperature of the test substance is 443 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
443 °C
