Administrative data

First-aid measures

- Eye contact       

Wash immediately with large amounts of water or normal saline. Keep eyelids open with the finger. Get medical advice ad show him the label.

- Skin contact       

Remove contaminated clothes and shoes immediately. Wash affected area with soap or mild detergent and large amount of water until no evidence of substance remains (15-20 minutes). Get medical advice ad show him the label.

- Ingestion       

If swallowed wash mouth with water provided person is conscious. Get medical advice ad show him the label.

- Inhalation       A

void breathing dusts that may be generated by handling of the product. Remove the person from the exposed area to fresh air immediately. Get medical advice in case of significant exposure.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media: Nebulised water, chemical powder, foam , CO2.

- Hazardous combustion products: May produce toxic fumes of Cox, HF.

Don’t try to extinguish the fire without an autonomous respiratory device (SCBA) and protective adapted clothes.  

Wear boots, overalls, gloves, eye and face protection and breathing apparatus. Equipment must be conformed with EN criteria and used in highest condition of protection on the basis of the information reported in the previous sub-sections.

Accidental release measures

For non-emergency personnel

- Eye       Wear suitable protected devices.

- Skin       Wear suitable clothes with full body protection.

- Inhalation       In case of fire and/or explosions avoid to breathe smokes and vapors.  Use a respiratory device autonomous (SCBA) and adapted protective clothes.  The vapors can be eliminated through nebulised with water.  

In case of accidental release in the environment avoid that the substance can reach drains, surface water and ground water.

Collect all of the material scattered on the ground with protective equipment adapted and put it in a clean and dry container.  

Recover the substance for suction or with other mechanic means and wash the with plenty of water and cleanings. Store the recovered product recovered in wait of the skilled disposal society. If the effusion happened in highway or in a  public place, suitable trickiness should be adopted in order to protect the people from any risk

Handling and storage

The substance is an intermediate for the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients: adopt technical, control and procedural measures, such as to minimize exposure to workers and the environment during use, according to the provisions of Art. 17/18 of the REACH Regulation

Keep the substance away from drains, surface or ground waters

Do not eat, drink and smoke in the working areas

Wash hands after handling the substance

Exposure controls / personal protection

Adopt technical containment and process control measures to minimize worker exposure. Strictly confine the substance by technical devices during all processing phases (purification, cleaning, equipment maintenance, sampling, analysis, loading and unloading, disposal and storage). Appropriate technical measures include: the use of closed systems and adequate ventilation.

Use suitable Personal Protective Equipment .

Stability and reactivity

The substance is stable at the normal condition of temperature and pressure and if stored in closed containers in well ventilated and cool place
