Description of key information

Testing has not been performed for surface tension since Dimethyl octadecylphosphonate (DMOP) is not expected to have surface activity.
DMOP is highly insoluble in water (the water solubility was visually assessed to be <1.07E-03 g/l at 20.0 ± 5°C (Fox, 2013) which is supported by the (Q)SAR prediction of 7.656E-07 g/l 25°C derived using WSKOW v1.42 . According to OECD Guideline 115 (Surface Tension of Aqueous Solutions), testing need not be performed when the water solubility of a substance is < 1mg/l.
