First-aid measures

Eye contact: wash with clean water

Skin contact: wash with soap and clean water

Inhalation: monitor symptoms and seek medical advice

Ingestion: seek immediate medical advice

Fire-fighting measures

The material poses no specific risk of fire and requires no special fire fighting measures. Excessive heat will result in the volatilisation of lead compounds.

Accidental release measures

In the case of spillage the material should be contained and cleaned by a method which minimises dust generation followed by controlled disposal. If material enters drains then it may be necessary to inform your local authorities immediately.  

Handling and storage

Store and handle the material to avoid the generation of dust. The material does not degrade and therefore has no shelf life for storage purposes.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Wear gloves to avoid excessive skin contact.

Wear suitable dust masks.

Do not smoke, eat or drink in areas where the materials are handled or used.

Exercise a high standard of personal hygiene after handling the materials.

Stability and reactivity

The material is insoluble in water and essentially inert.
