Description of key information

Values for Henry's law constant range between 0.0759 - 0.1122 atm m³/mol. The value of 0.0909 atm m3/mol (= 9210.4425 Pa m³/mol) at 25 °C reported by Mizuno & Tsuno (2010) was choosen as key value as it represents a recent experimental result, which is in good fit with the range for Henry's law constant available from a review article (Sander, 1999) and a textbook (Stumm & Morgan, 1996).

Additional information

HLC (the ratio of the equilibrium concentration of the chemical in the gas phase and that in the liquid phase) quantifies the partitioning of substances between the aqueous phase and the gas phase such as rivers, lakes and seas with respect to the atmosphere (gas phase). Ozone has a HLC much higher than 100 Pa·m3/mol, as a result volatilisation will be rapid.
