First-aid measures

Eyes: Rinse carefully with running water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present. Get medical attention immediately.

Skin: Rinse contaminated clothing and skin with soap and plenty of water. Get medical attention if skin irritation occurs.

Inhalation: Move the person to fresh air. Provide assisted ventilation if breathing is difficult. Consult a physician.

Ingestion: Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Call Immediately a POISON CENTER or doctor/physician.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishes media: carbon dioxide, dry powder, water spray, foam.

Advice for firefighters: Use self-contained breathing apparatus, gloves and standard protective equipment. Move containers from fire area if you can do safely. Cool containers exposed to flames with water.

Accidental release measures

Wear personal protective clothing and equipment in order to avoid exposure to the substance. Dike the released material with covering material (plastic sheet) or absorbent material (meerschaum, sand, sawdust). Take up mechanically, use aspirating devices. Clean surface thoroughly with plenty of water. Collect the contaminated materials in proper container (plastic, metal) and treat them as prescribed for wastes.

Avoid discharge into drains, water courses or onto the ground.

Handling and storage

Keep original container labelled and tightly closed in a cool and dry place. Protect the substance from direct sunlight, heat sources, open flame, sparks and static discharges. Keep away from strong acids and bases, strong oxidizing and reducing agents. Store between 5°C and 40°C.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment in order to avoid exposure. Use only with adequate ventilation.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid the dispersion of the product. Provide eyewash station. Use the product under good personal hygiene measures.

Skin protection: Wear appropriate chemical resistant clothing and safety footwear.

Hand protection: Wear appropriate chemical resistant glove (latex or nitrile) [EN 374].

Eye protection: Wear safety glasses with side shields [EN 166].

Respiratory protection: In case of insufficient exhaust ventilation or in case of dust formation, use a fine dust mask [EN 149 + A1:2009].

Environmental exposure controls: Handle the product in equipped area. Refer to local regulation for air, soil and water pollution.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: no dangerous reaction under conditions of controlled use.

Chemical stability: the substance is stable under normal conditions of storage.

Disposal considerations

All wastes must be handled in accordance with local regulations. The substance and its container should be disposed of at disposal sites for hazardous wastes.
