First-aid measures

Exposure by inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air. Seek medical attention if symptoms develop.

Exposure by ingestion: Drink fluids to dilute. Seek medical attention if symptoms develop.

Exposure to the eyes: Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation develops.

Dermal exposure: Wash affected area with soap and water. Seek medical attention if irritation develops.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agents: Alcohol, foam, carbon dioxide and dry chemical extinguishers may be used.

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Evacuate personnel from immediate vicinity.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment conforming to the relevant national or international standards.

Avoid dust formation by damping down with water. Absorb spillages of solutions with a suitable inert material (e.g. sand or soil). Carefully transfer the spillage to waste containers, or use a sealed industrial vacuum machine. containers filled with waste material must be labelled in the same way as the original containers.

Clean the spillage area with water and detergent.

Dispose of waste material in accordance with local regulations.

Handling and storage

The use of proper protective equipment is recommended. Excess exposure to the product should be avoided.  Wash thoroughly after handling.  Store the product in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from incompatible materials.  Unless stated, the shelf life of the product is 2 years when it is properly stored.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Engineering controls are necessary to reduce exposure to the substance.

When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately controlled, appropriate personal prtective equipment must be worn. such protective equipment should conform to the appropriate international or national standards as follows:

Chemical protective gloves to Standard EN374.

Chemical resistant clothing to Standard EN368

Eye protection to standard EN166.

When necessary appropriate respiratory protection should be used, use a dust mask conforming to EN149 FFP1.

Stability and reactivity

The substance is non combustible but may burn if incolved in a fire, evolving noxious fumes (e.g. carbon oxides). However, there is no experimental evidence to support the anticipated combustion products.

No chemical reaction with water that can be regarded as hazardous.
