Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The substance is not self-ignitable, according to the criteria as described in the method A.16. of EEC-Directive 92/69/EEC.

Conclusions:
The substance is not self-ignitable, according to the criteria as described in the method A.16. of EEC-Directive 92/69/EEC.
Executive summary:

The self-ignition temperature of the substance has been determined by the EU Method A.16 "Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids" (1992). Approximately 8 cm3 Tonalid was heated in an oven with a ramp of 0.5°C/min until 400°C. The sample temperature and the oven were measured simultaneously. It was determined that the substance is not self-ignitable, according to the criteria as described in the method.

Description of key information

The self-ignition temperature was determined by measuring the temperatures in the heating oven and in the sample simultaneously, according to EU method A.16 inder GLP compliance. The test substance does not self-ignite up to 400°C and therefore it is not considered an auto-flammable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
400 °C
