Description of key information

Additional information

Hydrolysis

According to structural properties, hydrolysis is not expected.

Additionally, the test substance has a very low water solubility and therefore, the test is technically not feasible.

Biodegradation in water: screening tests

The substance is not readily biodegradable, according to OECD criteria (Read-Across to CAS 1, see IUCLID Ch. 5.2.1)

Bioaccumulation

Acumulation in aquatic organisms is not expected

Adsorption / desorption

The physio-chemical characteristics of the substance indicate that the substance will not adsorb to soil or suspended matter. The water solubility of the substance as well as the solubility in octanol and the resulting log Kow are very low.

Dispersion stability

The dispersion stability of the substance depends especially on pH and water hardness.

At pH 7 in 0 mM Ca the stability is high. At pH 7 and 9 in 0 mM and at pH 4-9 in 1 mM Ca the stability is intermediate. For the samples in 10 mM the stability is low.
