First-aid measures

General information

Remove contaminated, saturated clothing immediately. Wash thoroughly the body (shower or bath). When in doubt or

if symptoms are observed, get medical advice.

Following inhalation

In case of respiratory tract irritation, consult a physician. Remove casualty to fresh air and keep warm and at rest.

In case of skin contact

Wash immediately with: Water and soap In case of skin reactions, consult a physician.

After eye contact

In case of contact with eyes flush immediately with plenty of flowing water for 10 to 15 minutes holding eyelids apart

and consult an ophthalmologist. Protect uninjured eye.

After ingestion

If accidentally swallowed rinse the mouth with plenty of water (only if the person is conscious) and obtain immediate

medical attention. Do NOT induce vomiting.

Information to physician

Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

Measures to prevent fire

Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Provide

earthing of containers, equipment, pumps and ventilation facilities. Emergency cooling must be provided for in case

of a fire in the vicinity.

Accidental release measures

Soak up inert absorbent and dispose as waste requiring special attention. Clean contaminated articles and floor

according to the environmental legislation. Suitable material for diluting or neutralizing: Soda Lime

Handling and storage

Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Provideearthing of containers, equipment, pumps and ventilation facilities. Emergency cooling must be provided for in caseof a fire in the vicinity.

Requirements for storage rooms and vessels

Keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place. Floors should be impervious, resistant to liquids and easyto clean. Suitable container/equipment material: Stainless steel Polyethylene (PE) Unsuitable container/equipmentmaterial: Iron. Light metal

3: maximum permitted contaminant concentration in inhaled air = 10000 mL/m³ (1.0 % by vol.) If technical

exhaust or ventilation measures are not possible or insufficient, respiratory protection must be worn.

General health and safety measures

Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes. Remove contaminated, saturated clothing immediately. Separate storage of

work clothes.

Occupational exposure controls

Technical measures and the application of suitable work processes have priority over personal protection equipment.

Environmental exposure controls

In case of gas escape or of entry into waterways, soil or drains, inform the responsible authorities. Ensure all wastewater is collected and treated via a waste water treatment plant.
